Welcome to the Helix History Walk!
Picture
The Helix Historical Walking Tour consists of 18 sites of historical significance in the small city of Helix, Oregon. The tour begins at
the heart of the city--the historic Griswold Union High School.

Those taking the tour may follow the route as shown, or pick it up at any point along the way. The full walking tour is 1.1 miles in length and is estimated to take approximately 80 minutes to complete, depending on pace. Booklets to accompany the walking tour are available at the Helix Public Library.

OPTION 1 (Recommended):

Download the PocketSights Tour Guide App and use your GPS-enabled mobile device to take the tour.

The PocketSights Tour Guide allows you to take GPS guided walking tours on your phone. Using this option will allow you to use your phone to guide you through the entire tour. You will be able to read informative content about each site, view historical photos, and listen to audio commentary by local historian Matt Wood.
